Who Am I?
I’m Kai Dezen, but you can call me Dez. In 1993, I was born in Porto, Portugal to a lower middle class family who always placed my needs ahead of their own. Anything they COULD give me, they did.
I was very fortunate for that. However, as a consequence I became very spoiled. This made my mindset (until the age of 25) be the opposite of what is best suited for success.
I was unaware of what the real world was like because I had been too protected. So, I just wasted that first part of my life seeking external, instant pleasures and joy.
What made my life turn around dramatically? What made me completely change as a person?
An emotionally crushing moment. Hitting my own personal version of rock bottom.
That’s what turned my life around. Before that, I had spent my days doing what everybody else did. For example, I studied my way to a Master’s degree in Marketing and Advertising for 5 whole years only to realize I could only get a minimum wage job with it (at least in Portugal). But the worst part was that it was not my passion, I kind of hated it.
Fast-forward a few years and some other poor decisions I made, and we reach the moment in which I was emotionally destroyed. I can tell you more about it personally, but I don’t think more details would be relevant here.
What matters is there was a moment that crushed me so much that it gave me a depression and demanded a huge shift in my personality. I am now a completely different person. I figured out how I could become the person I had always wanted to become. I figured out how I could reach my full potential. How I could become the best version of myself.
All this helped me figure out what my purpose in life is. I want to help others reach their full potential and to think differently. I want to help YOU become the best version of yourself. No matter what challenges that entails, I want to help you achieve it.
